The Geminid meteor shower at Flight Level 380


I hope you like the picture, it took me 75 photos of 15 sec exposure each to get only two with meteors in the frame. 
The camera was isolated from airframe vibrations by a soft padding on the glareshield, I used a two-second self-timer to avoid shutter release camera shake.
[Canon 6D + Samyang 14mm f2.8 wide open, ISO 16000, 15sec]

    So, nearly 12.000 meters of the earth atmosphere is bellow your camera!

    This means that the Seeing was great there at your desk and also you were at the worm seat of the cockpit, hunting Geminids. Hm ... What a great way to do wide field astrophotography!

    what exactly do you mean by soft padding.
    my pictures are always shaky. how do i reduce the vibrations in the cockpit. thx great work
